Source: Baltimore's Deal With Jones Could Reach $91.5M

The Orioles will announce a six-year contract extension with Adam Jones on Sunday, according to a baseball source. The center fielder's deal is for about $85.5 million, with escalators that could bring the maximum value to $91.5 million. The contract is the largest in Orioles history and makes Jones the second-highest paid at his position behind L.A.'s Matt Kemp.

Sources: Montero, D-Backs Agree To $60M Extension

The Diamondbacks have agreed to a five-year, $60 million extension with Miguel Montero, according to sources. The extension is not believed to include a no-trade provision. Montero, 28, has thrown out a National League-leading 47.6 percent of runners trying to steal (28 of 60) this season. He is hitting .252 with two home runs and 21 RBIs in 38 games.

The Giants agreed to terms on a Minor League contract with right-hander Brad Penny on Friday. Penny, released last week by the Softbank Hawks of the Japanese Pacific League after 12 seasons in the Majors, will report to the Giants' extended spring training camp Monday to work himself into pitching shape.
